Support Intransigent Whimsy
I am a disabled widow on a very limited income. Producing art and the Zine costs time, and I don't mind that, but there are costs associated with creating the things I make for folks, including craft supplies, this website, copying the Zine, postage for the Zine, etc. I am NOT a registered 501-c-3 but do accept tips and donations at Ko-Fi.com/intransigentwhimsy. I aspire to making the Zine and its corresponding public art movement my entire job.
Ways you can support the Zine:
- Copy it and distribute it so that it goes further.
- Pass it on to someone else or recycle it when you're finished with it. Hell, maybe your parrot would like to read it as it lines the bottom of his cage.
- Tell others about Intransigent Whimsy, and help create a buzz!
- Follow Intransigent Whimsy on Blue Sky: @intransigentwhimsy
- Submit whimsical material using the guidelines on the Zine page.
- Subscribe as a snail mail subscriber (coming soon!)
- Offer your business or community space as a Drop-Off point for my public art pieces or the Zine.
- Send an email to let me know how you like the Zine and what kind of content you would like to see.
Buying Origami:
I donate just as many origami hearts and Mothman fridge magnets as I sell. I have donated these items to deserving events, nursing homes, and churches. I have made over 2,000 origami hearts and nearly 1,000 Mothman fridge magnets. Email intransigentwhimsy@gmail.com to arrange a donation or purchase of origami products. I have an Etsy store, but they eat too much of a lady's lunch...so contact me directly, and we'll work it out!
Ways my origami items have been used:
- Favors or decorations for weddings and celebrations
- Thank-you gifts for business clients
- Children's Valentines
- Randomly giving them out to strangers to watch the smiles
