1. The title of a monthly old-school paper Zine, on recycled paper, which contains self-created content and visual elements that are human-made with free use permissions. It is both left in public community spaces and snail mailed to subscribers.
2. The philosophy of persistent, deliberate whimsy, expressed by art pieces left in public community spaces to lift people and possibly inspire them to also engage in more whimsy and random acts of kindness.

I am a GenX disabled widow, new to the Columbus area, whose 35-year writing career went poof thanks to generative Ai and the implosion of the North American video games industry. As I try to find new purpose and figure my life back out, I have decided on creating community and lifting others through art and random acts of kindness.

As a GenXer who was suspended from high school in 1988 for making a Zine, I feel uniquely equipped to address a moment in time when most people are hanging on by their fingernails. It gives me purpose and may build a community, sure...but after my 41yo partner passed away from cancer in October, 2025, I lost everything, and had to move in with a generous relative, I am taking stock of why I'm here and what I want my purpose to be. I don't have it all figured out yet, for sure, but I know that it has to be about helping and lifting people, blooming where I'm planted, and spreading joy and fun in my partner's memory, so that I can spend the rest of my time being a person he'd be proud of.
